ABOUT ASKILLS

We built this for the people who think AI is coming for their job.

Not for the engineers. For the brand manager, the key account lead, the demand planner — the people who keep a business running and were handed a chatbot with no idea what to do with it.

Why we exist

Between us we have spent about a decade inside consumer goods businesses, in sales and marketing roles, watching new technology arrive with a launch email and a licence key. The tools land. The training is a webinar. Six months later the work looks exactly as it did before, and the people doing it are quietly more anxious than they were.

The anxiety is the part that matters. Someone who believes a tool exists to replace them will not experiment with it in front of their manager. That is not a technology problem and no platform solves it. It gets solved by putting a capable human in the room, using the person's own work, until the tool becomes something they operate rather than something being done to them.

So ASkills does one thing: bespoke, in-person AI reskilling for non-technical teams, built around what those teams are actually paid to do.

THE TEAM

A commercial founder, and the technologists who keep us honest.

ASkills was founded by Prabha, FMCG Commercial leader from IIM-Ahmedabad with more than a decade of work experience in scaling brand in South East Asia, alongside co-founders who have built and shipped technology for a living.

Prabha Venkatesan — Founder

An IIM Ahmedabad alumnus with a commercial career in consumer goods across marketing and market leadership in Southeast Asia. Runs the client side of ASkills: diagnostics, programme design and the relationship with L&D.

Pradeep — Co-founder

Software architect and founder of a drone mapping startup. Leads how the platform behind our trainer network is built.

Hari — Co-founder

AI Evangelist at Zoho. Shapes the technical substance of the curriculum and what a trainer has to be able to do before we put them in front of a client.

The trainer network

We do not employ a fixed faculty and read from a script. ASkills works with a vetted network of freelance technology trainers — practitioners who build with these tools daily — and matches them to each engagement.

The network is being built out of India first, where the depth of practising technical talent is unusual, with delivery across Southeast Asia and a longer-term ambition to run globally. Every trainer is assessed on technical depth, teaching ability and how they handle a room that did not ask to be there.

Behind that sits the part we are building next: an AI-assisted layer for interviewing and vetting trainers, matching them to client needs, and carrying curriculum, scheduling and impact reporting. Humans deliver. The platform makes it repeatable.

Where we are today

ASkills is an early-stage firm. We are running our first pilot programmes with a small number of partner organisations and building the trainer network deliberately rather than quickly.

If you are an L&D or HR leader who would rather shape a programme than buy one off a shelf, this is a good moment to talk to us.

AI skills that work at work.
